Why wet coffee beans before grinding?
Naturally, we want to produce a conducive environment for our coffee to reduce the amount of static built up when grinding. Adding a drop or two of water to your beans before grinding can accomplish this! This is known as the Ross Droplet Technique and was introduced to the home barista community around 2005.
Can you put water in a coffee grinder?
Dry completely before replacing the lid. Finally, clean the base. Since the base contains the electrical components of the grinder, NEVER put the base in water. Just wipe it with a clean, damp cloth.
What causes a coffee maker to stop working?
The primary cause for this type of problem is any type of blockage or water clog. The first thing to do is check the tube within the coffee pot. If there are obstructions here, or if the tube is clogged, water or any other liquid will not be able to pass through.
