What's the difference between a modal and non modal view presentation?
The main difference lies in the way you can interact with each screen. While a Non-Modal Screen allows users to simply go back to the parent screen, the Modal Screen requires users to complete an action before returning to the main window (“save” in our example) or cancel the current action.
What is a modal in IOS?
Modality is a design technique that presents content in a separate, focused mode that prevents interaction with the parent view and requires an explicit action to dismiss. Presenting content modally can: Ensure that people receive critical information and, if necessary, act on it.
What are modal views?
The Modal View pattern is a small container for displaying information. Dialogs contain a title, content area, and buttons. Modal Views can appear automatically (alerts, banners) or after a user interaction (modal views, popup menus).
When should I use modals?
We use modals to show if we believe something is certain, possible or impossible: My keys must be in the car. It might rain tomorrow. That can't be Peter's coat.
